Presentations will be accepted in two categories:

1. Oral presentations.
2. Poster presentation.

Oral presentations: 
May represent completed research, theory and conceptual paper. Each presentation is 15 minutes including questions and discussion. 

Poster presentations: 
Offer a display presentation of research outcomes, theory development, case studies and/or projects/ policies. Posters are grouped by areas, and displayed during the conference. Authors of accepted poster abstracts must be present at their poster during the assigned session at the conference to allow for dialogue with participants. 

 

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION (ORAL & POSTER PRESENTATION)

 

  • Must not exceed 250 words.

  • Name of all authors, name of institution, e-mail address, and contact number needs to be included.

  • Must include category of presentation: ORAL or POSTER PRESENTATION.

  • The abstract should contain:

    1. research aim;

    2. methodology used;

    3. research findings; and

    4. research implications.

  • Abstracts must be submitted in MS Word format (* .doc / * .docx) to the email address (seminar@fpe.upsi.edu.my) by writing "Abstract SPK2015" in the "Subject" area of your email.

 

FULLPAPER SUBMISSION (ORAL PRESENTATION) : GUIDELINES AND FORMATTING

 

  • Once you have received your Oral Presentation Acceptance Letter, you can begin preparing for your paper submission.

  • The paper can be written in Bahasa Melayu or English.

  • The paper should not exceed 10 pages including tables, figures and references. Template for writing full papers can be downloaded from here. Papers that do not follow this template, is likely to be returned or not accepted for presentation.

  • Single spacing, with font size 11, font type Times New Roman, in Ms Word format (* .doc / * .docx) only.

  • Document margin:

    • ​Top : 3 cm, Bottom : 4 cm, Left : 3 cm and Right 2.5 cm.

  • The order of the paper can be as following:

    • Title (font size 16, capital letters)

    • Author(s) name (font size 12)

    • Institution(s) (font size 10, italic)

    • Email Address(es) (font size 10, italic)

    • Abstract (font size 10)

    • Keywords (no more than 4) (font size 10)

    • <body text> (font size 11, Headings in font size 12)

    • Reference (font size 10)

  • Reference should use APA format Version 6. 

  • Fullpapers must be submitted in MS Word format (* .doc / * .docx) by writing "FULLPAPER SPK2015: <paper code>" to the email address (seminar@fpe.upsi.edu.my). 

 

POSTER : GUIDELINES AND FORMATTING

 

Guidelines for Headings of the Poster

Please ensure that your poster follows the format below:

 

  • Title Area

    • ​Title (UPPERCASE, font size 48)

    • Author(s) and affiliation (UPPERCASE, font size 30)

 

  • Introduction / Purpose / Objective

 

  • Methodology

 

  • Results / Findings

 

  • Implications

    • ​Implications for practice

    • Implication for research

 

  • Acknowledgements (if any)

 

Poster Formatting

 

  • The poster size cannot exceed the dimension of 120cm (height) x 84cm (width).

  • Posters can be presented in English or Bahasa Melayu.

  • Guidelines for preparing your poster can be downloaded here.

  • Please do not forget to fill in the poster Code Number (given in your Poster Presentation Acceptance Letter) in the space indicated.
